This in-depth programme combines fitness training specifically for women 35+ at Flex It Fitness, and an online course designed by Dr Wendy Sweet (PhD) that will help you gain a deeper understanding of what is happening to your body.
We explain the WHY and then provide you with strategies showing you the HOW.
Our programme is tailored to offer support, guidance, advice and coping mechanisms to help you tackle various symptoms using evidenced lifestyle solutions, such as, sleeping through the night, alleviating stress and anxiety, addressing sore joints and so much more.

1. The MyMT™ Programme
Each online coaching programme consists of seven video modules which are delivered to your inbox in a progressive way every fortnight over the 12 weeks. Plus an additional 3 months FREE access at the end of the programme.
You can listen at your pace in the comfort of your own home. Each module contains videos and PDF summaries. There is also so much more within each programme.

3. We accommodate individuals at all fitness levels, whether you've had a break from regular exercise or you're beginning your fitness journey. We tailor our approach to match your current fitness level.
Our group classes have a maximum of 6-8 women. This enables us to take a more customised approach with our group classes and make sure that the workouts are suitable for where you are with your current level of strength and fitness.
Most of the women who start with us have had some time off exercising consistently or are just starting their fitness journey, so if this sounds like you, you're not alone.

Menopause can be a challenging time for women. Although it's a natural process that all women go through, the experience can vary significantly from one woman to another. In addition to hormonal fluctuations, other factors such as stress, work, children, nutrition, and poor sleep habits can all contribute to the severity of symptoms.
Physiological changes, such as ageing organs, loss of muscle mass, inflammation in the body, stiffening of blood vessels, and gut health issues, also occur during this time.
These changes can lead to a range of symptoms, including brain fog, anxiety, fatigue, hot flushes/night sweats, weight gain, joint/muscle pain and disrupted sleep.
Fortunately, there are many ways to manage these symptoms; through lifestyle choices, dietary habits, exercise and stress management. I want to help women navigate this phase of their lives and find effective solutions to these problems.
Women need to press play, not pause on their life… and become strong, confident, and empowered women through their midlife years.
In 2023 my life changed, and so did the direction of who I wanted to help with my business, Flex It Fitness. I decided to shift my focus to women 35+ who are in need of support, guidance, and solutions to the challenges they face during their midlife years.
This change was instigated by my own struggles with perimenopause, and being diagnosed with adenomyosis, at the age of 48. I felt unprepared and overwhelmed with what lay ahead.
To better understand menopause and reduce the symptoms naturally, I began researching and came across Dr. Wendy Sweet's (PhD) Menopause programme. The knowledge and insights that I gained from the programme were helpful, and I made some changes to my nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle. As a result, most of my menopause symptoms have ceased.
Inspired by my own experiences, I enrolled in Dr. Wendy Sweet's (PhD) Menopause Weight Loss Coach and Menopause Practitioner courses, as well as Fitness Education Online's Training Menopausal and Perimenopausal Women course.
These courses have provided me with the tools and resources necessary to help women who are facing similar challenges.

Yes. The majority of new starters have either had some time off from regular exercise or are starting for the first time.
Yes. Most of the women in our program have some sort of old injury or niggle, so you will not be alone. We are able to modify and adjust the exercises and find alternatives for anything that may concern you. Please just let us know at the beginning of the class.
Not at all. We accommodate all fitness levels and tailor our approach to meet you at your current fitness level. If you are new to fitness or classify yourself as a 'beginner', we will start with the fundamentals and progress from there.
If you have concerns about it being ‘too challenging’, rest assured that you can adjust the workout to your own pace and comfort. Each exercise can be adjusted to match your current fitness level. As previously mentioned, for beginners in fitness, we always start with the fundamentals to help you establish a solid foundation.
Not at all. Most individuals don't have extensive knowledge of specific exercises and techniques. That's why there is a certified trainer present in each class, guiding you every step of the way. They will ensure your safety, proper equipment usage, and suitable weights. Additionally, they will make any necessary modifications or adjustments tailored to your needs.
On the contrary, when new members start some of them have had little to no prior training and some are completely new to exercise. Everyone begins from the same point and there is incredible encouragement and support from all the other ladies. Our program naturally attracts individuals who are optimistic, supportive, and enjoy a fun and encouraging environment in which to train.
Absolutely, our classes cater for all fitness levels and we are experts at providing options and modifications as needed, this is why we keep our classes small (maximum 8-10 people). Let us know before the class if you have any injuries/niggles or anything else that may prevent you from doing certain exercises so that we can ensure you are safe at all times.
The group classes have a maximum of 6-8 women, so that we can provide personalised coaching at every class. There are a number of classes to choose from including:
*Strength|Fitness - A circuit-style class. Full body workout including strength, resistance, balance, some cardio and core.
*Boxing|Core|Cardio - Circuit style format with some boxing, core work and cardio.
*Pilates - Mat Pilates with some focus on core and glutes as well.
*Yoga - Flow Yoga style
Just a towel and water bottle, we have everything else you need.
Nothing fancy, just normal active wear that you can move comfortably in and shoes with a flat sole that you would go for a walk in.
We use a variety of equipment, including free weights, resistance bands, TRX, benches, exercise bike, rower and a cable machine
The gym is located at Unit 14, 14 Frenchs Forest Road East, Frenchs Forest.
Commonly known as the Skyline Shops. Enter the building through the doorway next to Subway and follow the signs up the stairs to Unit 14.
Street parking is freely available on Frenchs Forest Road East at the front of the Studio. There is also ample parking behind the studio on Patanga Road.
